Application Steps:

1. Applicants can select more than one magnet school or special admissions program if the grade level is offered. However, a separate application form for each school must be completed.

2. Applicants must log into the application site below based on the specific school or program.

3. If an applicant does not currently attend an APS school, additional information may be requested by a school.

Selection Process:

1. Applicants will be notified in January and February 2025 of their application status.

2. Applicants  may be accepted into a magnet school / special admissions program, not accepted or waitlisted. 

3. Applicants will receive an email regarding the decision which will be sent to the email address from which they applied. 

Think carefully about your decision to apply to a magnet school / special admissions program. Once the selection is made (if families are deciding between two schools), changes are not guaranteed, so please choose carefully. The school will contact families directly when a seat becomes available to a student who is on the waitlist. Waitlists are purged on a yearly basis when the next year’s application process begins. 

Please note: If an out of district applicant gets accepted into one of the APS magnet schools or programs, you will be sent an email with a link to register your student with Aurora Public Schools.
